LUCEAT LUX COMMEMORATIVE CD

During the Alumni Homecoming, launched was LUCEAT LUX, a
CD recording of songs guaranteed to make one feel
nostalgic for Xavier School. It features the
much-loved school song "Luceat Lux" in three
languages: English, Mandarin, and now, Filipino.
The album also includes various other songs associated
with St. Francis Xavier. "No Better Rest" (the theme
from the documentary, "In the Footsteps of Francis
Xavier"), whose music was written by Fr. Manoling
Francisco, SJ known for his "Hindi Kita Malilimutan"
and "Tanging Yaman." The words were written by Fr.
Johnny Go, SJ. Other songs adapted from the prayer of
St. Francis are: "Pagkabighani" and "O Diyos, Iniibig
Kita." What is probably the most novel track in the
album is the "Xavier's Cool" Rap, which is being used
primarily by the school's cheering squad.
The project is aimed at helping raise funds for
scholarships. It is available at the price of P200.
