On July 6, 2020, the Parents’ Orientations for Junior High School and Senior High School were held at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively, via the Zoom Webinar platform. Both orientations were hosted by Mr. Jude Liao, International Programs Coordinator. 

Fr. Aristotle Dy, S.J., School President, addressed institutional matters and delivered his report on the Xavier School campuses. 

Mrs. Ma. Theresa Ladrido, High School Principal, presented an in-depth view of the Xavier School E-Learning  (XSEL) program and talked about the school’s vision for a collaborative home-school partnership. 

Mr. Exxon Yu, JHS Asst. Principal for Academics, and Mrs. Rovelita Bermejo, SHS Asst. Principal for Academics, discussed academic policies and curriculum updates in relation to online distance learning. 

Mrs. Andrea Chaveli Dela Cerna, HS Asst. Principal for Formation, talked about the various initiatives and programs of the formation offices given the set up of remote learning.

Mr. Christian Bumatayo, HS Technology Integration Coordinator, provided a walkthrough of the Learning Management System (LMS), Schoology, that will be used  by the students, parents, and teachers this school year. 

Simulation classes were presented by Ms. Nicole Santos of the JHS English department and Mr. Joel Hawod of the SHS Science department. 

At the latter part of the SHS orientation, parents of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) students joined Mr. Ryan Bulosan, IBDP Coordinator, in a separate session for IBDP-related matters. A simulation class was presented Mr. Geoffrey Mercado, IBDP Psychology teacher and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Coordinator.
