Dear Xavier School Community,
It has been a difficult time, as we have seen family and friends affected by a disease that has struck all over the world. It is saddening and it is humbling, and we cannot but feel helpless as we face the world around us.
But the world around us is temporal—and we will one day again have the joy of being with the grandparents, the mothers, the fathers, the children, and the friends we have lost.
The Catholic Church assigns the whole month of November as a special time for prayer and good works to commend the Faithful Departed to our Heavenly Father.
In the tradition of Xavier School, we ask the Philippine Jesuits to remember, in their prayers, Masses, and apostolic labors, the departed loved ones of our students and our alumni.
Please click here if you would like to include any of your dearly departed in our prayers, so that we may include them daily for the whole month of November. The Philippine Jesuits will be grateful for any amount you wish to donate. All donations will go towards supporting the formation of Jesuit novices, scholastics, priests, and brothers across the Philippines.
We pray for your continuing safety and protection as well as for the safety and protection of the members of your family.
Fr. Aristotle Dy, SJ
