The activity was organized by the GS Learning Resource Center and Reading and Language Departments, in line with the Grade School Literacy Month celebration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Natasha Wing is best known for her <i>The Night Before<\/i> series which has now more than 25 titles to boot. She shared how the idea for her book series was inspired by a well-loved Christmas classic, <i>The Night Before Christmas<\/i>. Her book series has then included different holidays and events such as election day and class picture day. Her latest book, <i>The Night Before Lunar New Year<\/i>, will come out by December 27.&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b3185b elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"3b3185b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"768\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xs.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Natasha-Wing-01-768x466.jpg\" class=\"attachment-medium_large size-medium_large\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10365e3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"10365e3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>At the beginning of her talk, Ms. Wing briefly introduced herself as a skier, traveler, and a proud kitty mama to a cat playfully named \u201cPurrsia\u201d, much to the delight of the students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aec5fbc elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"aec5fbc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"768\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xs.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Natasha-Wing-02-768x357.png\" class=\"attachment-medium_large size-medium_large\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ca5c81 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9ca5c81\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #030000; font-family: Barlow, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">When asked if she always knew she wanted to become an author, Ms. Wing was quick to answer, \u201cNo, I did not. I did not know until I was 32 years old.\u201d Despite not knowing what she wanted to do right away, she recalled how her childhood was filled with lots of reading, writing, and drawing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #030000;\">She also shared how she thought of wanting to become a paleontologist, the idea of digging up dinosaur bones thrilled her, or playing professional tennis.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030000; font-family: Barlow, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">This led Ms. Wing to describe a magical moment that had her thinking, \u201cWhat am I going to do with my life?\u201d The magical moment happened in a Christmas bazaar, as she browsed through the pages of another famous book, <i>The Polar Express<\/i>. It was at that moment she decided she wanted to become a children\u2019s book author. She has been writing for more than 30 years since then.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d5de5f3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"d5de5f3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"768\" height=\"362\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xs.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Natasha-Wing-03-768x362.png\" class=\"attachment-medium_large size-medium_large\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b5d5dcc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b5d5dcc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Ms. Wing also graciously laid out her creative process to the students by saying it starts out with an idea, followed by brainstorming, then lots of writing and rewriting until the piece gets submitted to her editor for checking. Once that\u2019s done, it goes next to the artist who decides how the pictures and book cover will look like. Once all is set, it goes to a printer and out comes the book!&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a314e8e elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"a314e8e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
