Xavier School San Juan held its annual school fair entitled Viva! on February 11-12, 2023. This was the first time that the school fair was held since the start of the pandemic in 2020.<\/p>

The fair officially began with an opening prayer led by Fr. Philip Yohan, SJ, Campus Minister. The opening remarks was then given by the school\u2019s president, Fr. Ari Dy, SJ, which then signaled the start of the fair.<\/p>

The school fair was held with Philippine festivals as its theme. The different high school batches were assigned to various festivals which had to be incorporated into their respective class booths scattered throughout the facilities of the school. The booths were created and managed by Xavier\u2019s own high school students.<\/p>

A bazaar was held at the Grade School Canteen and Football Field area. Some of the stalls present were from the fair\u2019s official sponsors such as Aquaflask, Toy Kingdom, and Senco Link among others. There were also food stalls for the fairgoers. As part of this year\u2019s fair festivities, t-shirts and tote bags, designed according to the theme, were sold at the fair information booth.<\/p>

Xavier School\u2019s annual variety show was also held on the evening of the fair\u2019s first day, February 11. This year\u2019s variety show was entitled Aurora: Chase the Light<\/i>, and was held at the Fr. Rafael Cortina, SJ Sports Center.<\/p>

The event was well attended featuring many guest performances from This Band, Timmy Albert, ICA Dance Troupe, Kidlat Varsity, and Pugfish followed by a showcase of homegrown Xaverian talent from the likes of Gagamboys, Ode to Mars, DanceX, Jerrick Yatco, and many more. The concert included the long-awaited fashion show, featuring models from Xavier and other neighboring schools.<\/p>

During the second day, February 12, the school fair concluded with the return of the annual seniors rave. As the school fair was coming down to its last minute, batch 2023 Alphas walked around the quadrangle singing the school song.<\/p>

The school fair and variety show, along with a few other events, mark Xavier School\u2019s official transition to face-to-face activities. Both events were a hit and got sold out. The fair had record-breaking sales totaling to \u20b12,663,330.00 which will be used for the Alay Kapwa Fund<\/i>, the school\u2019s fund for its many calamity assistance and relief efforts.<\/p>
