Pangilinan (G12A) participated in the World Scholar&#8217;s Cup (WSC) 2019, Manila II Regionals, in Southville International Schools and Colleges, Las Pi\u00f1as City.<\/p><p>The WSC is an international team academic program with students participating from over 82 countries. It aim is to attract students interested in learning beyond typical school curricula and to focus on bringing students from different cultures together to discuss issues and ideas relevant to today. &#8220;The idea behind the World Scholar\u2019s Cup was to create something different than traditional academic competitions and conferences: a celebration of the joy of learning, a tournament as rewarding for the team that came in last as the for the team that came in first, an enrichment opportunity that motivated students not just to demonstrate their existing strengths but to discover new ones.&#8221; &#8211;\u00a0<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scholarscup.org\/history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scholarscup.org<\/a><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The dynamic team of three that Lance belonged to garnered the following achievements:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Gold &amp; Trophy &#8211; Top 1 Team Overall<\/span><\/p><p>Gold &amp; Trophy &#8211; Top 1 Team Challenge<\/p><p>Gold &amp; Trophy &#8211; Top 1 Team Writing<\/p><p>Gold &amp; Trophy &#8211; Top 2 Scholars Bowl<\/p><p>Gold &amp; Trophy &#8211; Top 2 Team Debate<\/p><p>Lance brought home the following individual accolades:<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Gold &#8211; Top 10 Overall Champion Scholar<\/span><\/p><p>Gold &#8211; Top 26 Individual Writing<\/p><p>Gold &#8211; Top 25 Individual Debate<\/p><p>Gold &#8211; Social Studies<\/p><p>Silver &#8211; Special Area<\/p><p>The complete list of awardees from the WSC website results\u00a0 may be viewed\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #3366ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1WiPn9YkYowYCNbJ1jciB-_VZ7C-i4SQW\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0<\/p><p>Xavier School commends Lance for his drive to learn beyond the four walls of the classroom and congratulates him for his well-earned victory in the WSC 2019 Regionals.
