The event honored the legacies of <strong>Mr. Johnlu Koa<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Willy Ocier<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Greg Yu<\/strong>, and <strong>Mr. Jack Ng<\/strong>, whose enduring commitment to education, service, and nation-building continues to illuminate the path for future generations of Xaverians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These newly blessed spaces\u2014the <strong>French Baker Dining Hall<\/strong>, <strong>Willy and Geraldine Ocier Garden of Matteo Ricci<\/strong>, <strong>Gotuaco\u2013Yu Mini Theatre<\/strong>, and the <strong>Joy-Nostalg Aula<\/strong>\u2014stand not only as functional additions to campus life but as living testaments to what it means to be <em>\u201cpersons for others.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted by <strong>Mr. Paolo Almeida<\/strong>, the afternoon program brought together administrators, benefactors, teachers, parents, and students in a celebration rooted in gratitude and mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Celebration of Community and Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event opened with a prayer led by <strong>Fr. Art Borja, SJ<\/strong>, grounding the community in thanksgiving and purpose. In his Welcome Remarks, <strong>Fr. Joseph Y. Haw, SJ<\/strong>, School President, expressed deep appreciation for the generosity of the donors and emphasized that these facilities will form part of the school\u2019s ongoing mission of developing students who are \u201cfully alive, endowed with a passion for justice, and the skills for development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mr. Johnip Cua<\/strong>, Chairman of the Xavier School Inc. Joseph Haw, SJ<\/strong>, the blessing began at the <strong>French Baker Dining Hall<\/strong>, where the Xavier Dragon and Lion Dance Troupe accompanied the rites. The community then proceeded to the <strong>Willy and Geraldine Ocier Garden of Matteo Ricci<\/strong>, followed by the <strong>Gotuaco\u2013Yu Mini Theatre<\/strong>, before concluding at the <strong>Joy-Nostalg Aula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In each venue, the donors and their families joined the school leadership for a commemorative photo, symbolizing partnership, shared mission, and Xaverian unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Student\u2019s Heartfelt Message of Gratitude<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the community gathered for light refreshments, a Grade 12 student delivered a moving message of appreciation on behalf of the student body\u2014one that resonated deeply with all present:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cIn Xavier, we always say \u2018Let your light shine.\u2019 I would like to share with you something I read on social media:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong><em>\u2018Let your light shine\u2014not others through you. Instead, let your light shine so that through you, others will see God.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><strong> Through the generous donations of alumni like you, students like me have been able to let our light shine so that we can spread it all around the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His words captured the essence of the day\u2014<strong>that the generosity shown by these alumni empowers every Xavier student to become a beacon of hope, service, and excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Celebration of Generosity and Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gathering concluded with an afternoon of warm fellowship at the newly blessed <strong>Joy-Nostalg Aula<\/strong>, with delightful refreshments graciously prepared by <strong>The French Baker<\/strong>.
