SIMOC gives participants an opportunity to compete with top mathematical talents from around the world and learn from each other as a team. Individual and team recognition awards are given to deserving students.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The following young Xaverians were amongst thousands of young delegates from 25 participating countries from around the world.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Barlow, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal;\"><b>Lucas John R. Aquino<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Barlow, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400;\"> received an honorable mention at the Math Olympiad Contest which is an individual written contest. He and his team also received a silver award at the Math Master Mind Competition. He ranked 3rd among participants from the Philippines and received an honorable mention after being ranked globally. He is currently a grade 2 student.<\/span><b><br \/><\/b><\/p><p><b>Emilio Javier C. Uysipuo<\/b>, a grade 6 student,<b>\u00a0<\/b>received a bronze award at the Math Olympiad Contest. He ranked 14th among participants from the Philippines and ranked bronze globally.<\/p><p><b>Zachary D. Isberto<\/b>, also a grade 6 student,\u00a0ranked 23rd among participants from the Philippines.<span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'Century Gothic', sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Our delegates participated under their grade levels last school year.<\/p><p>The whole Xavier community celebrates these young achievers as they continue to let their light shine amidst the challenges brought by the pandemic.
