We are pleased to announce that seven Xaverians won awards in the 2022 World International Mathematical Olympiad (WIMO) Final Round held last January 6-9, 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. 

The following students were recognized last January 9, 2023:

Edison Ong of 1G, Silver Medalist
Lewis Craig Tansipek of 1J, Silver Medalist
Kaiser Sayvion Sy of 1G, Silver Medalist
Brayden Connor See of 6A, Silver Medalist
Jared Christian Cruz of 7C, Bronze Medalist
Y
uan Manolo Ramirez of 10A, Bronze Medalist
Daniel Yu Kim Teng of 4J, Merit Awardee

 

Math enthusiasts from all over Asia came together at the 2022 WIMO Final Round. The Philippine delegation bagged 19 gold awards, 52 silver awards, 67 bronze awards, and 40 merit awards in the competition. According to the Math Olympiad Training League or MOTLI’s Facebook page, WIMO is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world where only gold medalists from different math competitions are qualified to join. Edison Ong was also identified as the Highest Placer for Onsite Competition in the country. Truly, the school is very proud of their achievements!
