Last October 29, 2021, over a thousand Filipino students received the Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Award from the Department of Science and Technology –  Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) in recognition of their exemplary achievement in the fields of science and mathematics in the international arena. 

Among the 1,395 YES awardees from all over the Philippines are 36 of our students from Kindergarten, Grade School, and High School who hauled medals from various international math competitions last year.

According to the DOST-SEI website, YES awardees are considered to be of great value to DOST’s quest for excellence and shall be included in the roster of honorable young men and women of science.

Truly, the pandemic did not stop these young men from pushing for excellence and showing the world what their bright minds are capable of. The whole Xavier community celebrates their triumph with pride and glory!
