At Xavier School, fostering strong bonds between teachers and parents goes beyond the classroom. The recent series of parent-teacher sports events provided the perfect platform for teachers and parents to come together, bond, and forge lasting connections in an atmosphere of fun and friendly competition.

On March 8, 2024, the High School Gymnasium was alive with excitement as Grade School faculty and staff squared off against Grade 5 parents in a thrilling volleyball match. Led by Mr. Glenn Gacutan, Physical Education Department Chairperson, the Friendly Games committee, and Mrs. Elaine Cuady, Grade 5 Parents Point Person, the event saw enthusiastic participation from both sides. The emcee for the event, Mr. Michael Lopez, kept spirits high as teams battled it out on the wooden court. With Mr. Christian Bumatayo officiating the match, the focus was on sportsmanship and teamwork, providing teachers and parents with a unique opportunity to interact outside of the traditional school setting. The basketball match on March 13, 2024, continued to build on this sense of camaraderie. Grade School faculty and staff took on Grade 6 parents in an exhilarating game at the Sports Center Competition Court. Led by the committee and Mr. Jan Ong, G6 Parents Point Person, the event featured emcees Mr. Kyle Borja and Ms. Maricon Leehuekee, keeping the energy levels high as teams battled it out on the competition court. These parent-teacher sports events provided more than just an opportunity to showcase athletic talent—they created a space for teachers and parents to get to know each other on a more personal level, building trust and rapport that extends beyond the confines of the school gates.
