Gabriel Lapuz (7B) and Miguel Lapuz (9C) were awarded Bronze medals in the 2021 Asian Online Open Taekwondo Championships held from July 10 to 12, 2021.

The mentees of Xavier Taekwondo varsity coach, Roel Solomon Borjal, brothers Miguel and Gabriel represented the Philippines along with their Xavier teammates Malik Kynan Co (12G), Camillo Odell Lazaro (6I) and Amari Morales (6B) in an event presented by Smart, MVP Sports Foundation, World Taekwondo Federation, and the Philippine Taekwondo Association. 

Athletes from 16 countries, including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and the Philippines competed in two categories: Kyorugi (Speed Kicking) and Poomsae (Forms). Miguel and Gabriel got their awards in the Poomsae Cadet, Male, Brown Belt Division, where judges observed accuracy of skills, technique, and presentation.
